The role of the bushing: some parts of the bushing with low rotational speed, high radial load and high clearance requirements (such as camshafts) are used to replace rolling bearings (in fact, the bushing is also a kind of sliding bearing), and the material requires low hardness and high clearance. Wear-resistant, the inner hole of the shaft sleeve is ground and scraped to achieve high matching accuracy. There must be an oil groove for lubricating oil on the inner wall. The lubrication of the shaft sleeve is very important. If it is dry, the shaft and the shaft sleeve will be scrapped soon. It is recommended to scrape the inner hole wall of the bushing during installation, which can leave many small pits and enhance lubrication.

Bushings and bushings are of different models according to different industrial and mining conditions. The main conditions are: pressure, velocity, pressure-velocity product, lubrication state, load properties. The requirements for rotary motion and axial sliding are different, and the performance of lubricating oil is also very different. Speed and pressure basically determine the life of the bushing.

Bushings are generally divided into two types: one is for the convenience of disassembly and assembly. The other is used as a sliding bearing. The shaft sleeve is generally used to prevent axial movement and avoid the stress concentration area (such as the difference in thickness), and to prevent shaft breakage. On vertical axial flow pumps, oblique flow pumps, and deep well pumps, the shaft sleeve is composed of rubber bearings or Sailong bearings. "Lubrication pair", but on some horizontal pumps, such as split double-suction pumps, the shaft sleeve acts as an axial adjustment, while the packing shaft sleeve acts as a seal together with the packing.
